Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how Digital Grove Ltd ("Better Fences", "we") handles your personal data when you use betterfences.co.uk. We are the data controller for what you send us through this site.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we collect the details you give us. These are your name, phone number, postcode, address (optional), the service you need and any job notes. We also record your IP address and browser user-agent, since this helps with security and fraud prevention.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your details for one main purpose: to match you with vetted local fencing installers who can give you a quote for your job. We rely on two lawful bases. The first is your consent, which you give when you send the form. The second is our legitimate interest in running a quote-matching service.

Who we share it with

We share your quote request with one or more independent fencing installers in our network who cover your area. However, we do not sell your data for unrelated marketing. We share it so they can contact you with a quote. We expect installers to use your details only to quote and do your job.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests while we need them. We use them to run and improve the service and to meet legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data. You can also object to processing and ask for data portability. To use any of these rights, contact us through our online form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies and analytics

We use two analytics services. Plausible sets no cookies and collects no personal data. Google Analytics 4 sets its own first-party analytics cookies only after you click Accept in our cookie banner. This is because our lawful basis is your consent. See our Cookies Policy for details.
