Our service

Better Fences is a free quote-matching service. It costs you nothing to use. We link homeowners with independent, vetted fencing installers. Yet we do not carry out fencing work ourselves. We are not party to any contract you make with an installer.

Quotes and the work

The independent installer you choose provides any quote, price, advice, contract, workmanship and guarantee. That installer is responsible for all of them. Before you agree to any work, check the installer yourself. Check their suitability, insurance and credentials. However, we do not guarantee that you will get a quote. We do not guarantee how many quotes arrive. Nor do we guarantee when they arrive or what they contain.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give accurate details. You agree to use the service only for genuine fencing enquiries. This helps us pass real jobs to installers. You must not send false, abusive or automated requests.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship or conduct of any installer. We are not liable for any loss from work an installer does. However, nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow anyone to limit.

Information accuracy

Since cost guides and calculators on this site are indicative estimates only, they do not count as a quote. Prices can change with the job. They can change with the materials and the installer too. Always confirm prices with a local installer.
